Judge's comments for this category:
Easter Play
The Easter Play was creative. Taking the 20th Century technology of television new interview to the Biblical events of Jesus life was unique.
Challenging the congregation to research and present "first hand" encounters with Jesus impacted both the audience as well as the actors. This was evident through the passion and excitement that overflowed from the production. They all did a wonderful job.
The technical recording and sound was good but the lighting was inconsistent.
The Joyful Sound
Make a Joyful Sound production was well prepared with and inspiring message from the Pastor. The worship leaders were well rehearsed and the flow of the service required minimum editing.
The coordination between the sermon and slides aided in the audience and viewers to follow the scriptures as well as emphasizing important points.
Including the words to the worship songs helps those who may not be familiar with the lyrics, to sing along and enhances the overall worship experience.
Lighting and sound was good. The camera placement was in a location that gave a excellent perspective that limited the need of zooming in and out.
Winfield VBS "Son Force"
Son Force was excellent. The production was well written and executed flawlessly. The actors knew their lines and the interludes of worship songs were peppy and inspiring. The set design took time and effort to prepare and the graphic editing was well synchronized. The use of technical special effects of lights, sirens, and costumes brought the production to life.
I am pleased to recommend "Son Force" as CMC's Vollie's Best Religious Program.
