Announcing the 2010 Vollies Awards Ceremony

The EventThe 2010 Vollies Award Ceremony will be held Friday, March 26, 6pm at Carroll Community College's Scott Auditorium. Vollies Awards are presented biennially by the Community Media Center to recognize outstanding achievement in programming for Carroll County's public, education and government television channels (PEG). New this year, a series of special awards will recognize people and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to the Carroll County History Project.
Vollies Programming Awards
Eligible programs ran on cable channels 18, 19, 21, 23 and 24 between January 2008 and December 2009. Winners are chosen by a panel of independent judges from among the following categories:

- Arts & Entertainment
- Programming for/by Youth
- Informational/Instructional
- Best Religious Program
- Best Documentary
- Best Public Service Announcement (PSA)
- PEG Programming: Best PEG Program, Best PEG Series, Best PSA, Best Municipal Program
Special Awards
The CMC will recognize individuals and organizations in the following categories:
- Board Member of the Award
- Volunteer Awards
- Lifetime Achievement Award
- History Project Awards
The Details
Tickets are available for $35 per person until March 8th. Please contact the Community Media Center at 410-386-4415 or email info@carrollmediacenter.org to reserve your tickets today. Admission includes light hors d'oeuvres and refreshments. Doors open at 6pm and the ceremony begins at 7pm. Snow date is Friday, April 9 at the Community Media Center.
