| 7.2010 | Tony Hooper is Going, Going, but Not Gone After working for the Community Media Center for six years, Tony Hooper is stepping down from his position as Operations Manager to pursue a teaching career. His last day was Friday, July 23rd. Tony is pursuing a teaching career and has accepted the position of Video Production Instructor at the Carroll County Career and Technology Center (CCCTC) in Westminster, just across the CMC parking lot. He will be teaching his first video production class in September 2010. |

| 1.2010 | Spring 2010 Carroll County Career & Technology Center Video Production Class The CMC welcomed the spring 2010 video production class from the Carroll County Career & Technology Center. Students are involved in class projects and on the job training at the Community Media Center throughout the semester. The CMC began acting as an offsite training facility for video production students in the fall of 2008. |

| 1.2010 | CMC Changes Domain Name In early January 2010, the Community Media Center changed its domain name from cmcmd.tv to carrollmediacenter.org in order to make its website and email addresses more recognizable and relevant to its mission. Email messages should now be sent to name@carrollmediacenter.org and the CMC website can be accessed at www.carrollmediacenter.org. The cmcmd.tv domain name will eventually be phased out. |

| 1.2010 | Streaming Video of Municipal Coverage Now Available Carroll County's municipal programming is now available online at the CMC's Channel 23 page. Viewers can watch streaming video of the latest municipal meetings and coverage of town events on dedicated viewers. In addition, video archives and links to local government websites are also available. |

| 1.2010 | Give Locally Testimonial Dates Local nonprofits are invited to share their mission and accomplishments in a brief videotaped testimonial to be included in the CMC's regularly scheduled Give Locally television program. All testimonials are also included in the Give Locally directory, a listing of local nonprofits available at OurCarroll.com under Nonprofit Directory. To schedule your testimonial shoot, please contact jcavey@carrollmediacenter.org or call 410-386-4415. Shoots are scheduled, by appointment, on the last Friday of each month. |
